So, how about a discussion of rare Derann prints? I'll start. "The Mines of Moria", an excerpt from "Fellowship of the Ring". OK, it may not be exceedingly rare, perhaps, but I have rarely seen copies of it show up anywhere. Does anyone perhaps know how many were printed?

There was just an auction for "Freeway Frenzy" from Matrix Unloaded some place. I just don't recall. I hadn't seen one on Ebay for a good 5 years or more. There was also another extract from the same Matrix called "Playground Skirmish" that went for an enormous amount of money for a 200 footer a few years ago.

My sister bought us a copy of "Mines of Moria" at a Derann open day back around 2004 (she was a big LOTR fan, as was Ged Jones as we discovered chatting to him on the day). There was a box full, so I don't think it was ultra rare. Only Ged would know. I do recall that he said he would have liked to edit it more and get more action scenes into the 400ft, but that the owner of the 35mm print wouldn't allow it to be cut.
Larry, please don't tell me those Matrix extracts are now worth a fortune..I sold my 3 about ten years ago for a reasonable price!!
