A question for UK based " The Reel Image Magazine " subscribers .

I was wondering if any of the UK subscribers to Steve Osborne's wonderful "The Reel Image" magazine have been having any postal problems here in the UK receiving any of the issues of late ?
My issue # 51 never arrived and i had to contact Steve explaining the problem . Steve very kindly sent me another copy which arrived no problem .
Now i have had to contact Steve again regarding the non arrival of issue # 52 which should have been with me by now .
Something odd going on here . Is it just us up here in Scotland or have any other parts of the UK been having problems with items getting lost in the postal system lately ? I know the Royal Mail leaves a lot to be desired at the moment but this is getting to be a habit and far from acceptable with letters and packets not arriving at their destination .

I have heard from Steve Osborne. He does not have the part I need, so he is returning my money. No other conversation was done

Guys Steve has just emailed me . He is very kindly sending me another copy of issue # 52 . I recently had a problem with the latest issue of FILM COLLECTOR not arriving but Phil Sheard of Classic Home Cinema sent me another copy . The postal system here in the UK has gone all to hell !

Yes, the postal system is bad enough for Panorama to have done a programme about it last night. Which I missed due to being out.

Yes there is quite a nationwide problem with the postal service at present and the weather we are experiencing has not helped. It appears that parcel delivery is given priority over anything else. There are also staffing problems. The GPO should never have been split up and privatised. Profits come before service these days. Also abolishing the rail service and putting everything on the roads has not helped. Remember the travelling post office and “Night Mail”? 😉

Thankfully they posted my Freedom Pass a month before my old one expired, but other mail (a weekly magazine) was a day later this week.

Good news is my Reel Image magazine # 52 arrived today . A big thank you to Steve Osborne for sending me a replacement copy for the original one that got away in the postal system somewhere ! CHEERS STEVE .
