A sharp Blackhawk print. A Laurel and Hardy Comedy. Made in 1934. Super 8 sound. Runs 21 minutes. Storyline is the boys work at a fish market. So as they are on there break they are fishing! Along comes the captain of a ship ! Who offers the boys a job. To help him Shanghai some men for him at a Dollar a head! They agree! Once on board the ship! The captain tells the boys and the crew to never mentioned the word Ghost to him. Because if you do he will take your head and twist. So when you are looking north you will be walking south! Its Hilarious! One. Of there best! If you see it grab it ! Review by Leon Norris .

It is such a relief to know that there are good Blackhawk prints around of this title. I have just bought a non Blackhawk copy of it and, although there is not a mark on the film, and the sound quality is excellent, it was printed on colour stock, which I never like, and also the faces are pretty washed out. A great shame really, because, as Brian says, this is certainly Laurel and Hardy going up a notch in their performance and in quality of storyline.

I will keep searching.

My first Super 8 purchase of Laurel & Hardy film. I have a soft spot for it for that reason. New print slightly discounted price from normal retail price at the time from Moviedome £18.65 in 1979
