Unless it was released by Blackhawk shortly before their demise, I don't think it was ever released by them on celluloid.

My favourite is the 1935 version with Seymour Hicks as Scrooge. As already mentioned , I also feel it is the one which captures the Dickensian atmosphere the best. The characters are so similar to the original illustrations in the book I read as a child. Ken Finch.

Alastair Sim (1951), is the definitive version of this film for me personally.

Along this subject ...
I ran into an adaptation of this I had never seen before, a BBC version, done in the late 70's, with Micheal Horden is scrooge! It is only 59 minutes long, but it had some dialogue in it that actually opened up some of the story better than I have ever seen before, (for instance, some of the reason behind why Scrooge and his nephew are at odds). here is the link ...
