There are two springs attached to the claw and both seem to be strong. The claw looked a little bent out of shape. Could be the people who worked on the motor did something to the claw. I do hope the projector keeps working.

Could be Stan, but the answer to any problem on projection jitter/ instability, is NEVER to bend the claw, so if I were you, I would be be finding out what the previous owner has done and why they thought it was the correct course of action??
