Alan, It's a Kempski GIGANT 750x sold and I believe made by Kempski/CSC in Germany back in the 80s. It's a great and reliable long-play unit that excepts up to 3hrs of 8mm sound film, and I'm lucky enough to own one. It is made to bolt on to the top of the GS1200 but the one in the video is mounted on 'speed frame', I guess as there's no room on top of the GS shown in the video?

This idea is used on the high end Fumeo, I wonder who copied who with this idea, looks identical with those thin wide motors on the end of the arms, no wonder that Fumeo weighs a lot, good idea though, I wonder how the tension is regulated, there doesn't look to be any kind of variable control like the spondon unit.

Motors may just have a built in clutch within the gearbox section Paul. That way it will keep constant regulated torque on the reels without ever pulling on the film more than it should.
Just a guess, hopefully someone who has one will elaborate.
Alan these particular Film Cleaners are allegedly superb in use though very expensive! They are distributed at Wittners.
