Wondered if any of you could assist on this. I'm using a Eumig S810 D to show Standard 8 sound. I can get a very steady picture on one film (L & H Come Out Fighting), but not on onther (Tom Brown's Schooldays), where the picture jumps up and down. Any advice? I've tried cleaning/lubricating the film; no joy!

I have made the same experience with Super 8 film and this projector; but only with older copies. My guess is that the construction of the film advance doesn't like slightly shrunken film very much.

Hi Simon
Its worth checking that the claw fingers do not have a ball of fluff on them.
This build-up of fluff and lint happens slowly and will then cause problems like you described. The claw will then have trouble entering the film sprocket holes, causing shaking & juddering.
Take out the aperture plate to insect the claw tip. Use a small brush or spray to wash the claw fingers properly & try again.
Let us know if it works.

Just curious -- from what film is "L & H Come Out Fighting" taken from? There are many that it could be -- BATTLE OF THE CENTURY, ANY OLD PORT, TWO TARS, BIG BUSINESS, BEAU HUNKS, PACK UP YOUR TROUBLES, just to name a few. Who released it?
