I'd be curious to know if there are any printed publications anywhere in the world that have reviews of new releases on Super 8, other than:
Film For The Collector (UK)
Projections (UK)
The Reel Image (USA)

Anyone know of any others? I can think of at least two magazines that cover Super 8 film-making, but I'm not aware of them including reviews.

If you are thinking of past releases
I have some old movie-maker mags that have articles on the new super 8 releases of the day.

No, I was wondering if any others cover new releases now. It may well be that there are none, but I particularly wondered about Germany, considering how many releases (many with German sound, like advertisement reels, etc) have come from there - so I wondered how word gets around amongst German collectors.

The excellent German magazine Cine 8-16 has reviews of new releases. However, there is no English language edition.

I didn't know where to post this so, I am posting it here! I wonder if anybody has issues of 8mm review magazines from the
"golden age" ( the seventies and eighties) to throw out, exchange, or even sell! Specifically, I am interested in the following: BOOTLACE 1, 2, 3
SILVER SCREEN 12, plus a special issue between 8 and 9 (January '87)
FILM COLLECTOR'S NEWS all except 3
Also THE SILENT PICTURE 7, 14, 16, 17
FLICKERS 1-11, 31-51

Panayotis
We need basically the same issues of flickers(I need roughly issue 1-62), I have all issues of silent picture if you ever want me to copy your missing ones..I only have issue 1 of silver screen if you have any extras, and I have issue 5 of Home Screen scene (Do you have any issues of that one?) and for Bootlace I only have the 1985 annual...Don't forget the us 8mm collector from the 60's/70's where it changed to Classic Film Collector..

I am a great believer in those magazines. They are invaluable in home movie research ( and not only..). I did subscribe to many of them at that time when they were monthly! and I had written a two part article in Silver Screen about them.Anyway ,(boasting time, again)!! I have complete runs of Classic Film Collector/Images,( from no. 1)and Movie Maker (from 1966), Home Screen Scene,8mm Package Movie Club, Super Eight Film Review,Super 8 Collector,Film Collecting,Private Screenings,Home Movie,Coming Attractions,Cinema Review and incomplete runs of several others, (Film Buff, 9.5,etc) I have a few duplicates which I will send you and tell you what to copy for me. Thanks.
