My newly purchased Eumig S940 has now been fixed, and is working well. Although it didn't come with microphone or recording lead, I have found a microphone that works in my box of odds and ends. It has an 8 pin din plug on the end which fits into the input socket. It might be a Eumig microphone, I can't recall where I got it from.
I would now like to aquire a recording lead. It uses the same 8 pin din socket on the projector, and would need a jack plug on the other end. Does any one know where I can get one? I have tried 5 pin din leads, and they don't work.
Alternatively I could buy an 8 pin din plug and make the lead up, but I can't find out how it should be wired. The din plug on the microphone is sealed on so I can't take that apart to check without almost destroying it. What I need to know is which of the 8 pins do I connect the wires to. I can only assume Eumig leads are wired differently to normal 5 pin plugs. Perhaps someone has a manual which says how the plug is wired?

Yes. Pins 1 to 5 are in the same positions on the 5-pin plug as on the 8-pin plug. The latter is only necessary if you intend to use pins 6, 7 and 8.
