Did Laurel & Hardy's "Way Out West" ever get released by Walton or Mountain in a 200ft songs only. I want to do a kids show at Christmas and would like to include something like this.

I was thinking of 'The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine' song.

Hi David,

Yes it did get released by Walton as 200ft songs only (I think the title was L&H's musical moments).

But beware as print quality is terrible. One of Waltons worst I think.

Mountain did a 1 reeler of Laurel & Hardy musical numbers; I recall that it included 'Shine on Harvest Moon' from Flying Deuces, but don't remember what else was included.

The Mountain 1 reeler was called 'Song & Dance Men'.
Like Robert, I can't recall the exact content but part of it had the little routine they do after delivering the piano in 'The Music Box'.
I also had the Walton release, my copy was OK print-wise, good enough to project on a 7ft screen as part of an illustrated talk I used to give to various groups some years ago.

Walton A.498 - 200' - Laurel and Hardy display their musical talents in scenes from several of their best films. See Stan use a prison bed as a harp - Hear him on the Sousaphone - See them both perform a song and dance act to "Shine on Harvest Moon".

My copy is the usual Walton high standard.

I think one of the 2 films mentioned had Ollie singing and playing the piano from 'Beau Hunks'
