Hi everyone-
What is the cheapest method to get a film sent overseas from the UK to the USA? One of our dear members is sending me a few films but when they went to get a shipping quote it was 69 sterling for one feature. 4 x 600ft reels!
I know that Derann items shipped fairly economically and also Hugh just sent me the lovely "Silence of the Lambs" and that was cheaper as well. Any ideas?
Many thanks!

I've never actually used these guys but they're cheaper than Royal Mail. Might be worth looking into:

Royal Mail international signed for should be around £20.00 for a guess, takes 3/5 days, Del.

Alan,

The trouble is the weight, if it goes over 2 Kilos then that's when the silly prices come into effect, and 4 x 600' would most probably with packaging gone over 2 Kilos, it would be best, and cheaper, to send it in 2 packets, and if you're worried about losing it use a signed for service (with optional insurance) as more of a gurantee.

Just paid a significant amount for shipping for a long feature. It's insured, and quick... but quite a price tag... but I HAD TO HAVE IT!
