I have a Beaulieu 708 and everything seems to work well except the variable speed. As long as I project at fixed speed it's fine but when I go to variable speed the capstan drive adjusts faster and slower but the sprockets and claw doesn't seem to change speed. For example if I speed it up the bottom loop disappears and it forces the film to skip on the sprocket that is past the capstan drive. Does anybody have any ideas of what I could try to fix it?
