Hi,
as the Hanimex is a Super8-camera, it'll take Super8-cartridges, e.g. the ones sold by Kodak.
"Negative film" is just ...well... a "negative film" as seen in the wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_film As you can see it'll contain a negative image, so you'll have to make a print (on print film) to see the image in the original colours. Of course you'll have to pay for this print, too. So if you only need a single "version" of your film, you'll choose a "reversal" filmstock. In this case the film will return with the "normal image" from processing and is ready for projection. On the other hand making another copy of a film shot on reversal filmstock is up to impossible*, while making copies from a negative stock can be done rather cheap at a good quality at Andec.
