Hey folks, just a curiousity I've found here.
Steve Osbourne sent me a box of optical sound features, (I have a few that were fading and I wanted to upgrade them), and they were badly faded ...
but there was also a last reel of a feature entitled "Winterhawk", a film about Indian Life and revenge from the mid seventies, starring Denver Pyle, L.Q. Jones, Elisha Cook Jr. Woody Strode, (a lot of standard western actors) as well as a lot of other lesser known actors of the 70's.
The last reel was actually pretty entertaining. Anybody else ever even remember hearing about this film?

Andreas,
Excellent screen captures there, could you do a few more?
Though the optical sound final reel of the film isn't in letterbox, it would be neat to have that 3X400ft version, and then start the last reel of the film where it belongs.
This last reel of mine starts with Woody Strode's Character getting caught and being strung up, through the rest of the film.
Strangely enough, the film has variale quality.
The first minute of this last reel, has fading color. Once it gets back to the daytime winter landscape, the color is near perfect all the way through, and the leader at both ends has percet "color chart" colors, while the first minute clearly goes to a "browning" and that ends where the scene changes back to the winter scene.
interesting.
