Hello all- my name is Raymond and I am new to this site. I was wondering in the absence of Kodachrome what people were using in its place? I am told there is a company in Germany that sells a comparable Super-8 film stock (Wittner?) but their website is all in German and I can't undertand it. Are there any dealers in the US that handle this film stock? Buying K40 on eBay is getting expensive! Thanks everyone!

These sound great- any idea what retailers might carry them?
And Ugo- I am delighted to see that you are in Avellino! I took my very first overseas visit to Italy last April to visit my relatives in a small mountain village there. I took along my Canon 814 XL-S and filmed a brief documentary in the community of my family. That old Kodachrome sound stock came out brilliantly despite its age. Ciao!

In spite of early enthusiasm for 100D, the clarity is so inferior to K40 that I can only give my thumbs up if you really need the ASA. Otherwise, Velvia 50D is the closest thing going to Kodachrome, with very good clarity, fine grain, and wild color. In my humble opinion.
