Dino ...
I agree with this. I think a Eumig p8 that I have been working on is a thing of beauty. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful projectors made, (yep, I have a thing for it, snicker!).
But it has never been good about the lighting, though. Kind of dim, to be quite honest.

I have one of these machines too. Excellent IMHO. Took me a long time to find a decent one, but I use it as a dedicated Standard 8 sound projector.
I also love, of course my other Standard 8 silent machines: 4 x Elmo E-80s; 1 x Elmo F-80; 1 x Ampro Futurist 8. I like to use them in rotation whenever possible. I have converted the Eumig Mark S, one of the Elmo E-80s, and the Elmo F-80 to accept 800ft reels. It is not possible to convert the Ampro as the arms are part of the body casting.
All of these projectors, apart from the Eumig, use a 110volt 750watt lamp, which, being a lover of early technology, I find superb - and the light output is pretty good as well!

Valves and celluloid - a great combination! Early technology rules OK!
