Hello fellow film-holics [Smile]

The other night I was having this conversation with a friend, about how films can get damaged or even destroyed by various environmental conditions, such as excessive heat, moisture, etc.

And then I had this terrifying thought, how MY films are going to cope during the summer time. Here in Athens temperatures lately vary around 35-38C and there is a strong possibility that there will be days when the temp will heat 40C.

So, should I worry about my films? Should I take extra care to protect them somehow?
I have them on various selves close to a window, that is always kept closed. There are sun-shades on the window always closed. There is also a door in the room that sun comes in during mid-day.
No A/C used in the room.

Am I just being paranoid now or are there valid reasons to worry?
