Is it safe to buy from forum members? I was offered a good deal on a 7000. I really want to get it, but since it isn't through ebay I am a little hesitant.

Depends on the member. All the members I have dealt with through the years have been very honest, and I hope they think of me the same way. But there is at least one forum member who has ripped off Steve Osborne (THE REEL IMAGE) for films that he never paid for.

i have traded films with Pat and he is a good person.
BTW, do you know that although this is not through Ebay as long as transaction is paid via Paypal, it will get the same preotection as buying through Ebay.
This policy was released several months ago and was sent to each paypal address.
More over if your paypal is funded through Credit Card, you will also receive similar protection from the CC Company.

Pasquale is a solid chap, you can trust him 100%. Same goes for pretty much 99% of the members on both forums, especially when they have larger post counts (most active members).

You won't have any problems "wheeling and dealing" with Pat --- I've had many with him in the past and hope to have many more with him in the future
