Hello,

My name is Pierre and I am a filmmaker from Sweden. I am a proud owner of three Nalcom FTL 1000, with timelaps handles, and I just feel so happy about that camera.
Ever since I was 14 and held a super 8 camera in my hand (a Canon 514) I have been sold on working with Super 8 and is now about to make a dream come true.
I will make a 28 minute long short film, on Super 8, shooting with all three cameras at the same time... It is crazy, and we have no idea if it will work.

If you want to follow our progress, please do at: Karins Saga - campaign
We are so exicted about this and I am also making a documentary about Storms on Gotland. Using timelaps to see stormy clouds moving faster and so on.

Great to have found this forum!

Hello Pierre,

As a fellow shooter, the fact that you have THREE Nalcoms already makes you special...that camera is quite the niche item [Smile]
I will definitely look into what you are doing and how you are shooting it.

Best of luck,
Claus.

Hello Claus,

I was scaning youtube for different tests made with super 8 and then I stumbled over some clips made with the Nalcom cameras and started to look into them a bit more. And I feel very confident that I have bought the right cameras.
They are so easy to use, seems like a good lense on them as well, so I am getting super excited about using them.

But I am getting a bit nervous...
I have just sent two rolls of processing to pro8mm.com
2 rolls of Ektachrome 64T that I used to test my cameras. Have no idea if they will work, but I am getting very excited about it!

We have cancelled the production of the short film for now... We don't get enough fundings and I think we have to leave the Super 8 idea behind for a while... [Frown]

But I have so other project going on that will be shot on Super 8 instead, so I just have to focus on them instead. [Big Grin]

On of the projects are a documentary about Storms on Gotland.
