My latest project just finished. I got a 5x600' super 8mm Goldfinger and had to make a box for it. Yes 5 x 600' but it's actually 400' of film. It still fills the reels pretty good. I guess on 400' reels the film came to the edge.
Any I made this box from scratch and used some nice graphics I found on the net. Printed it on photo paper then glued it on the box. I like the pic on the inside cover. It was am after thought. yes, I have a lot of time on my hands!
I think I am going to line the inside of the box with gold foil

Very nice Pat, well done. I have found that using good artwork on the film box cover actually appears to make the film print sharper!

At least the box looks great! now if the print was as good. I have to redub it again. Some parts are not in sync. But like I said, at least I have it and it's not in Italian now.

Wow great work Pat I'm proud of you. Someday you will get your Goldfinger in pristine condition and use the box. But don't sell it to someone like me no matter how much you like them, and need the money. It was an honor to have your print for a brief space of time. Thank you Mr. Bond.

Very nice work Pat; your story reminded me of a friend who lent me a feature and I didn't show it because the film was overflowing on the 400ft reel.
