Hi all,
I watching the Lord of the Rings recently and, whatever one's opinions of the films are, they would undeniably look wonderful projected.
I know of trailers existing, and the derann Mines of Moria extract- but is there anything else available? Non-official releases? Or has anyone seen a 35mm feature copy of one of them?
The same questions go for Burton's Batman. I know of a trailer, but is there anything more to find?

I don't know about Batman but I did hear about the possibility of one of the Lord of the Rings films being released on Super 8. I saw a link that mentioned it. I came across it not too long ago but I can't for the life of me find the link. I have no clue if the rumor is substantiated so unless someone has concrete evidence, I wouldn't get your hopes up.
They are pretty long movies. It'd be probably fit on two 1600' reels that are overflowing!

Lord of the Rings would be roughly 3600' ft pr movie for the cinematic versions (4000' for the last film), whilst the extended editions would run 4800' to 5600' on Super 8. That's a lot of reels!
-------------------- Well who’s on first? Yeah. Go ahead and tell me. Who. The guy on first. Who. The guy playin’ first base. Who. The guy on first. Who is on first! What are you askin’ me for? I’m askin’ you!

If you collect 16mm, you can still order new scope trailers for all three LOTR films from Robbies Reels: http://www.robbiesreels.com/trailers.htm
I know there are adapted scope copies of the features 'out there' on 16mm, but almost impossible to find of course.
