Now available for only $1,800 [Wink] I was a bit surprised to see this in the latest Hammacher Schlemmer catalog. Does anyone know of this product?

If my math is correct, it would take about 8 hours to scan a 10 minute roll of film.

The big bad side is that it doesn't convert sound films.

I think I saw the same or at least a similar ad in a recent Southwest Airline Sky catalog. I wasn't impressed because it was sooooo slow...but I wonder who makes it?

Reflecta (Germany) makes this film scanner. The price is ok, but it is to slow to use in practice.

We are using filmscanners from telecine.de, but this company is closing down. I am looking for an alternative supplier now, especially for the lens and camera. Anyone a good suggestion?
