So the heaviest projector I own is the Beaulieu 708 HTI. Its heavier than the GS1200 Xenon and the other day I was showing a film and had to lift it about chest level. Well it was pretty heavy. I started to think that when I am in my 70's-80's if I am still able to turn the play knob [Smile]

I will not be wanting to lift that machine! The same went for the Fumeo 9119. Heavy machine.
And the GS1200 is pretty heavy too. Not as heavy but still. Maybe its time for a Bauer T Series for a back up?

Having said that,once you have carried a pair of JBL 18" Bass Bins up two or three flights of stairs single handed, no projector on our gauge will ever be anything but a complete pleasure to carry around and lift to chest height! Ha ha.

Alan I never heard of a HTI version that must throw a wonderful picture.

Andrew thanks for the video looks like a dream machine. I read about someone who had several Fumeos including the 500watt xenon. He claimed the HTI version was still brighter due to the focus of the lamp sending more light through the tiny aperture, that makes sense.

I found this picture. The power supply looks nice and compact not the typical full size that sits under the projector. I like the little clip on light but it looks factory not clip on, classy, I love it.

By the way Ive decided to write a review on the Beaulieu. All I need is for one of our forum members to send me their prized 708 so I can get started. I promise to return in 5 years or so after Ive completed the review, in this case I will make sure to write slow [Smile]

There are a few different types Alan. The other type look better which have the power pack for the lamp mounted as a plinth for the PJ to stand on.

It is heavy but just MAYBE my favorite projector I have ever owned. The picture is bright and beautiful. "Shane" and any Disney film looks incredible on it. You can see the grain shimmer on certain prints.
My model has the projector mounted on the HTI power supply. One of the great things about this model is that even when the fans are on it isn't very loud. Compared to the GS Xenon, when those fans come on you feel like the GS is taking off for flight.
But the GS has a slightly better audio response and I need it for optical and re-recording.
But if I want to just watch a film..I always pull out the Beaulieu.
