I picked up a Keystone 2500 projector and tested the speed on it. Initially, it worked and sounded fine, then the sound changed to a noisy, almost grinding sound. I took the back off and noticed that the metal on the middle of the pulldown claw shuttle arm was rubbing against the surface of the white plastic back of the shutter. I also noticed a small brown pellet, separated in two that, that I removed from the floor of the projector. When crudely re-assembled, it appears to a have a groove in it, where I assume it fits on the notch on the middle of the shuttle arm. Does anyone have an image of this, and possibly have a replacement from a junk projector? I am curious what this looks like in an intact projector. The K2500 looks similar to the Chinon GL projectors.
