Is there any place or person in NJ,NY,PA,CT I can take or send my Elmo GS1200 to be serviced? There's a few adjustments/upgrades that need to be done, also I would like to convert it to a 2-blade shutter? I would try to do it myself but I don't want to make matters worse.

Leon Norris, 745 East Oak Street, Norristown, PA 19401. (610) 272-3205. The phone number is also a fax line, so you may have to call a few times before you get an answer or be able to leave a message.

I'm with Steve on this one; the last time Leon fixed my projector, UPS dropped it and some of the keys arrived bent even though the projector was double boxed and packed well. UPS also left the projector out in the rain on my porch and I'm glad I got home before anyone took it.

An old friend of mine had a summer job at UPS.
Early on his boss had him build a wall of parcels ready to be transferred into a delivery van. The boss didn't like the wall, and kicked it over.
They will get your parcel where you send it quickly and reliably. They are efficient, organized and professional. One thing they aren't is gentle.
The reason they don't want string around parcels is it's temping to pick them of and fling them across the room.
Kind of like this: years ago I had a job testing power supplies for a military communications system. It said in the spec that they had to be capable of being dropped on each corner, face and edge from a height of three feet and still operate. That's 26 times!
I asked someone from the customer why.
He said "Have you ever seen a Marine unload a truck?"

Let's not forget what they charge; in order to insure the proper amount for a GS1200, it costs about $95.00 to ship to Leon. Then consider the same shipping charge in order to get it back. Next time, I'll plan a road trip.
