Jeff, I have one, (of the Yashicas 810, but I don't know if it's 810 or 810D, if there was a difference).
At the moment, the optical sound bulb is dead, (now, where to find that bulb?), but, apart from official manuals for it, (Janice, I would also LOVE a manual of this edition), I was always quite impressed with how smoothly, and quietly this little japanese projector runs, and quite bringht as well and the optical sound playback had a lot of bottom to the sound, which is actually better than some other brand name top models!

janice, you're right, (about the model number), and I'll PM you with my e-mail address, and many thanks to you, Our Good lady of the Celluloid!!
P.S. Have you had any problems janice, with the projector being a little touchy with dust? My only slight complaint of the projector is that the knobs and sound system seem to have trouble with dust.

Osi...I sent you the manual. As far as the dust issue...No, I haven't had any excessive dust with mine. However, I do keep all my projectors covered with plastic bags. I happen to have an original cover for my P810 which keeps it relatively dust free. I've noticed that 8mm projectors tend to be much more sensitive to dust than 16mm.

I've been inside the thing cleaning out the tar/rubber, dust, etc and noticed the electronics connections and think this looks suspicious. Can either Osi or Janice look inside your machines, just like when you change a belt, with the four screws on the back and tell me if yours looks the same? I know I'm asking a lot but would like to know if this is correct or not. You are the only two on the planet I know with the same machines! If you notice, on the top right there is what looks like a fuse holder but with a wire soldered between the terminals. Also, there are two more towards the lower left underneath the plug. If these should be fuses, what values are they? Makes me wonder what else?! If the photo doesn't work I'll keep trying.
