Good to hear that both Walton and Derann solad prints, although I wonder if that dating on the "Cat Napping" (yes, you're right Winbert .,.. 1951), means that it was either taken from a 1977 negative, or the actual print was made in 1977 in which case, it might be subject to fade in the future. It's well known that Derann would sell prints that they bought wholesale from other companies/distributors, that aren't necessarily on low fade stock.
I notice on my "Cat Napping", when ho,ld up to the light, from the original leader to the fade in of the MGM title card, it's apparant that the actual original cartoon negative that they used, was not up to thier usual standards, as it didn't have perfect blacks to begin with. (note: I'm speaking of the MGM release, and not Derann or Walton prints of this title.
The walton print of "Cat Napping' must be fairly rare, as i have not seen one come up on ebay.
