Greetings all,
I am brand new here, and was wondering if any veterans of the forum have any experience servicing the K-109.
I have attempted to access the motor/drive case and was unable to/ too squeamish to, see the process through, not wanting to damage the unit.
The issue I'm having, is the motor/drive is not functional. When the drive switch is thrown, there is an audible hum, but no movement.
Any advise on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jake

If you hear a hum then it sounds like power is getting to the motor. If the motor hasn't been run for awhile you might try putting some oil on the bearings. Also, there are various holes on the projector marked in red (also designated in the user manual)that you should oil.

This is an excellent oil:

Thank you again Janice. Have you ever disassembled this unit? I'm having an issue removing the fan casing. It looks as if there is a pin through the post, which I can't access.

Hi Jake...I've never had to remove the fan completely. I assume you have removed the casing. Can you access the motor bearings without removing the fan? Does the fan turn freely by hand?
