I have a 285 kodak moviedeck I can't the film to thread it has eaten a few feet already from me trying any suggestions?

Welcome Ross...The most common cause of film not threading is broken pieces of film lodged in the film path. To locate and remove this debris you may need to do some disassembly. I have a service manual that can help you. Please PM me your email address and I will send it to you.
