I've always wanted a film projector and have seen many over the years while thrifting, but this is the first one that has really spoken to me: a Keystone 109
I got it yesterday and immediately ran out to a local store that transfers film to DVD. They had a couple 8mm films for sale. I picked up Mighty Mouse and Flying Acting. I gave the projector some oil, fired it up, and last night we had our first vintage movie night. It was so much fun! Nothing exploded or caught on fire, so yay! Isn't she gorgeous though? Very clean, not a scratch.
I am wondering if anyone has a digital copy of the owners manual they can send me?

Welcome to the forum Pam. Yes you have a great looking projector there. Here is a web page where you can purchase the K109 manual for $7.50, in the event that nobody here on the forum has one to scan for you.

... and what a beautiful choice for you're first projector. It's a top projector for it's time and most them still run like a charm! They certainly made them to last back then!!!

Thank you! Yesterday I went out and bought a very 1950's-looking glass bead Radiant screen to pair with it. I've noticed one issue though which I am having trouble with. Both of the films that I have viewed on this projector are quite blurry. I cleaned the lens and aperture but it didn't have much effect.

Hi Pam...I don't really run my K-109 anymore...however when I did ... the picture was very sharp. A blurred image is usually a lens problem. When you hold the lens up to the light is it clear when looking through either end. Lenses can develop fogging and fungus over time which will blur the image. If the lens is inserted correctly and turned to focus the image...it should be clear. Maybe posting a screen shot of the projected image will help us identify the problem.
The films themselves could have been shot out of focus.
Is the film holding tight against the gate? If not, this will distort the projected image.
