That one on eBay looks like the 200ft version, best to make sure. I have the 400ft in OB but I'm a big fan of Irwin Allen so it's staying in my collection sorry

Yes, thanks Mark and Clinton. That is a 200' version on eBay. There was a 400' available until yesterday, but I underestimated the maximum bid. Must be more sought after than I thought. It's an excellent digest though.
Anyway...I'd much rather buy from a trusted collector here on the forum than on eBay!

I actually have several 400ft versions of The Poseidon Adventure, as its one of my all time favourite films. Last year I managed to get a full length scope print on 16mm. Im sure one of the 400footers has a narrator annotating the narrative? Ill have to check

Did you get the 16mm print from BD-Cine, Mark? I saw it advertised earlier in the year, but was slow on the uptake.
I agree, fantastic film. The inversion of the ballroom is spectacular. My family sat through the Blu-ray a few weeks ago - they all had forgotten how good it was.

Hi, bought it from Ebay, I did pay £300 for it but its a print I always wanted. I did have an immaculate 16mm print of The Towering Inferno in scope, reluctantly sold it overseas and lost a lot of money on it, the recipient wasnt in, the print got shipped back to me at my expense etc etc
Heres a good site about the poseidon adventure :http://maritimematters.com/2013/01/ss-poseidon-40-years-upside-down/

Thanks for the link, Mark.
Did you have to send the print of TI back to the US again? That seems ridiculous that the shipping company sent it back to Blighty without trying to deliver again.

If it's anything like the POst Office here. They try to deliver and if no-one is in they should leave form asking when to retry or for you to collect, stating that if this isn't done within a certain time it will be returned to sender. That's OK if they do leave the form (with one thing I ordered they didn't but as it was tracked I knew they had tried and could go to claim it) but if you don't know it has got that far and what to do it will be returned.
Perhaps that's what happened, a lazy delivery driver.
