Hi Bob, Hearty Welcome. stayed in Wurzburg while in the army, beautiful country - You couldn't have chosen a finer film distributor, Blackhawk has been a mainstay (mine, particularly), and L&H are THE finest examples to come from them - Their Silent Library is unsurpassed, rare to find sharper prints in 16mm -Shorty

TARS fisrt came in 1952 (2x200'), Std 8 Silent with the side of a teepee and Indian logo on the box - Print was (is) very sharp for Std 8 (reduction from their 16), the first pink-box edition was 1969, ensuing years would find a grren box, then silver medallion, by 1980 the pre-print material was sharper, try and seek out the later boxed prints in green and silver - Though some of the earlier prints were good, it's a chance sometimes - TARS was and is readily available, as there was most always a half-price sale through the years at Blackhawk - THEIR PURPLE MOMENT can sometimes be dark, try for a sharper focus (rarer title) - The Talkies are around, some harder than others. We're all here to help - Shorty

No, wouldn't be bootleg if from Blackhawk - Came in 2-piece box, check to see the leader countdown fades into the Blackhawk titles for WHOOPEE - What you have, simply is a light print, almost a test-pattern. Blackhawk wasn't perfect either - Sometimes their machines didn't sync up exactly - Find a 400' complete edition in one box, those are far superior
