Hi all. I'm looking to purchase reel 3 of War Of The Worlds. Based on the first two reels that I own, I would imagine it is Marketing Film #1060.

Just my idea so both of you can win-win.
Since Dave has more reels, then you buy the German version. Take sound from the first two English reel, and re-dub to German version.
Lakshmi, send your last reel to Dave and he will do the same for the last reel.
By then you two have the same set...!
Oemer's price is pro rated by 3 (because this is 3 reels) and each of you pay how many reels you want. Obviously Dave need 1/3 and Lakshmi 2/3.
The example above shows Dave is the one working with re-dub, then he can choose the best color/print quality. If Laksmi who is doing that just do the opposite and he can choose. How does it sound?

Winbert: Very good idea. Dave / Laksmi you can make me a reasonable offer, I don´t wont be rich with this print. One of my invaluable prints in my 35mm collection is a original english version of War of the Worlds in near mint condition on low fade filmstock, so the marketing 3x400 is not very important for me. Laksmi here are some pics of the trailer reel War of the Worlds / This Island Earth (english sound). http://www.chapter-x.com/waroftheworlds/waroftheworlds.htm

Okay Dave you work it out with Oemer are you going to change the sound on it? That is not my bag? I was going to check out this guy but I don't like the sound issues.THE WAR OF THE WORLDS - PART 1 & 2 600FT (B*) £29.99 Classic 1950’s Sci-Fi. Note*: Sound suffers from regular ‘Drop-Out’ during first half. http://www.theoldfilmcompany.com/Page2_4.htm How much for the red trailer Oemer?
