You have to be wary when looking at ebay listings, these two projectors have listing periods longer than 10 days and will most likely be a shop or trader. They may have been trying to sell these machines for years! Look at 'completed listings' to see what people paid rather than what sellers hoped for. In the last month one machine went for $122 but it seemed to be punching well above it's weight compared to other auctions. I think typically you could only hope for selling it at half this price

I have thought of selling it to a friend for $45. He thinks it's only worth $25. I have a spare bulb, owners manual and clipper. And a couple of take up reels.

I believe it's in good shape. I tested it and it runs. Anyone interested or know who may be if my friend doesn't buy it.

I think you may get $60 for your machine on eBay on the strength of looking at completed listing values. I personally wouldn't pay that. If you are selling emphasise that it is in working condition (ideally with a picture or link to a video showing it working)and mention things like the spare lamp etc. Start at a fairly low start price such as $15.00 We aren't all down on Chinons but the quality of both their cameras and projectors varied considerably over the span of the company's involvement in the cine field. I do have specific reservations about the whisper model as Chinon made their equipment in Japan but this model (I think) was made in HongKong and is a badged Cinerex 727, you will find comments on this forum about the 'quality' of Cinerex projectors. Check your projector out and if it runs ok and doesn't scratch film highlight this in your ebay listing

Paul...I have had a Chinon 330 (sold it) and I have a GAF 2000 (same as Chinon 7500) and both worked fine. The 330 had a "loose" lens and that's why I sold it but as long as I used them I didn't notice any damage to my films.
