Hey all, picked up an Elmo ST-600M projector off ebay recently. Replaced the belts, and resoldered the speaker pin connector. Bulb burned out and I ordered a new one off ebay (EFP). Aparently there are more incarnations than one of these bulbs and the one I received isn't correct, as it is too long (reflector to pin dimension).
Since I planned on using this just to capture sound only anyway, I ran the films I am tranferring through without having the benefit of video for sync. To make a long story short, there must be a problem with the lower loop as the sound started fluttering in sync with the claw movement on the second reel. I tried resetting the loop several times to no avail. I'm on a deadline with this project and don't have the time to futz with it. I am temporarily using my Chinon SP 330MV, and it will suffice in the meantime. I'd like to find a serviced, known working condition Elmo ST-180, ST-600, or ST-1200, if anyone has one for sale.
Ideally, I'd like to get what I paid for it ($100), but that will probably be a stretch. If you have the time to play with this machine, make an offer.
John
