Since my college days I have used the same Elmo 912 film viewer, which I bought new in LA at Olympic Camera in 1980. Last week while editing my latest film, my clumsy cat tripped over the cord and the viewer crashed to the floor! It no longer works; the film runs through without stopping on the individual frames. Something with the sprocket mechanism must have broken.

Does anyone out there have a gently used viewer/editor they'd be willing to sell at a reasonable price? I miss piecing my films together! Please describe what you have, and how much you want. My only requirement is that it handle 600' reels and have a nice, clear picture. Thanks everyone!

Hi Raymond - I have a few that are all in very good condition - I'll look them up after work this evening and post a detailed list for you - I'm sure you'll find one that you can use (and at a good price) - Ray

Well ... I looked at my editors and unfortunately they only handle 400 ft reels ... Sorry, Ray

Raymond,
Whenever I've looked, there ALWAYS seems to be at least one 912 on eBay, although the amount the sellers want varies enormously. It must be the easiest to find editor out there. And if you get one, insist the cat pays for it!
