I already have one or I wouldn't be telling anyone, but if you collect projectors you should pick up this affordable oddity.

Technicolor 810 cartridge projector

I think the best model from Technicolor would be 1000 and 1200 series.

This one take small reel and I suspect to be a silent projector. CMIIW.

I have been seeing this in my area for a long time. Can someone confirm this is indeed something similar to what Dino pointed us to?

Yes Akhsay, I think that is almost the same.

But FYI, Technicolor has several commercial releases (not educational or those films used by car dealers salesman for display) and sold mostly in South Africa.

Osi bought several lot and apparently my "Blue White Water Death" was also from this kind of cartrdige which had been opened by Pat before sent to me.

I also got all "Buck Rogers" series in this kind of cartridge.

But those commetcial releases were place in bigger cartridge similar to 400 to 600 feet.

Now.... this Technicolor projector is dedicated machine only for one type of cartrdige. If you have bigger machine (like 1000 or 1200 series) yet it still cannot play the smaller cartrdige, and obviously vice versa.

If you bought the one offered in cariglist, which I found to be a small one, later you got those commercial releases, you CANNOT play it in your machine.

That is why adivsable to buy the bigger series if yuo are thinking to play those commercial releases....and it is sound machine too.

Unless you just want to have this small machine for your show case then this is another story.

ps: There are also several other cartrdige loop machinse such as Fairchild. The film inside is also super 8mm but no cartrdiges are compatible each others. And don't forget those red color toys cartrdige we used to play which was made in Hongkong.

Thanks for the information, Winbert. I did read that Pat has transferred Blue Water .... from a cartridge but didn't understand what he meant. It's quite interesting. Thanks, again.
