My projector does not turn unless I open the projector and manually spin the clutch wheels (think that's what they're called). I can adjust the clutch wheels with 2 adjustment screws but they don't seem to have any effect.
There is a spindle in the projector with a rubber or plastic knob on the end. This spindle drives the clutch wheels. The spindle spins fine. My guess is that the plastic knob on the end of the spindle is simply worn down and isn't grabbing the clutch wheels like it should.
Has anyone repaired the spindle knob (sorry, I don't know all of the proper terminology)? I've considered disassembling and trying a few options like rubber bands, tape, etc., but if there's a more preferred/more permanent fix I'd be interested. I assume that the actual part is no longer available for this projector. I can't tell what the original shape of the part was so any repair I attempt will be trial and error.
Thanks
