so I accidentally bought TWO ciro deluxe metal splicers, one I have says "super 8" and it is. I have sone that just says "8mm" and while getting frustraited that the Standard 8 film wouldnt fit on the sprocket area, I then discovered it is actually a super 8 splicer that does not mention that fact on the label area. one of the hold down arms is missing but the splicer still works perfectly as long as you are using super 8 film. I have another that I bought for 16mm but it looks like the super 8 one but the matrix is 16mm wide. since it is a wrap around splicer you cannot use it for standard 8. let me know if you have one or wanna stade for a super * ciro. thanks!

Thanks a ton fellow film people I just wrote indi 8 I had found the actual CIR website. and they required a bank transfer for payment and I didnt feel comfortable doing that. Chip, it doesn't say that on the matrix, but it is for sale if someone needs a Metal super 8 ciro. They really are the best splicer I have used and all projectors seem to like splices made with them.
