am considering a purchase on superman IV.
upon test viewing of the film
there were occasional green vertical streaks of light. am not quite sure what that is.
other than that, the colors were still really bright.

Is this a 8mm or 16mm print?

You've posted in the 16mm section - therefore I assumed 16mm. If so, those green lines are emulsion scratches.

Hi Louis I woulkn`t pay too much for it as with green lines they are a lot less desirable when you come to move it on etc and the lesser of the 4 in the series really.
Hope theres a chance of a really good value buy.
Best Kark.

Well, that really depends on how often the green lines appear, how intrusive they are, and what the stock is.

Well yes if you get a chance to view the whole film, but most films with some in tend to be worse as you go often rather than better.
Blacks are far less distracting.
But green emulsion marks can get very invasive and myself I`d miss any title with them.
Its those bloomin Bell and Howells usually.
Best Mark.
PS Louis can you view it before buying????

the lines starts out pretty much on the beginning of the film... the titles and early scenes. after that, not that i can remember.
the owner was nice enough to preview the entire reel.
