I am new in Toronto, and got surprise when finding Bell & Howell 1624 or 2592 are only offered between $50-100. Also for Elmo 16 CL is priced $100. They are in working order and come with bulb.
I believe they are good projectors, aren't they?
This is tempting me to move to 16mm...but the size is unaffordable for my house.

Greetings Wilbert On the Bell & Howells, Be careful before buying Open the back cover Look at the main gear, should be white or cream in color. If there is a crack in the gear DO NOT BUY That worm gear is about $250.00 to replace. see pictures. On the Elmo Check The sound when turning the sound knob if the fuse blows the circuit board has a bad transistor Cost is about $50.00 + LABOR ON REMOVING IT. Also check on the take up reel arm remove the cover. Check the belt in the belt is a smooth one its the old style the new style belt has teeth. The old one slips and will not take up film Its fine for a while You walk away and come back to a floor of film. Also check the rubber rollers If they look gooey or have broken pieces they have to be replaced.
