There is a movie on Ebay that says it is for 8mm or 16mm. How can that be?

His reply when I asked about it was as follows:
"This was played on our 8mm home projector in the late 50's maybe half a dozen times. But is states right on the box "8mm OR 16mm". I am not a projectionist but that's what is says. I hope it works for you. It is very funny. I remember Woody using a lawnmower to cut a view through a fellow's hair at the baseball game. Then he gets into the game."

I've seen some that say 8mm or 16mm too and I've wondered how that would work.

My thoughts is back when the film was NEW, a lot more people handled film on a semi-regular basis, and understood that the 8mm or 16mm was just advertising that the film could be had in either format. Now days you have infomercials and people who watch them trying to make a living on ebay being trash diggers not knowing a thing about what they sell.

It's Standard 8mm NOT 16mm.

It's Castle Films' printing department being cheap.
