[Eek!] Just spotted these two:
STAR WARS

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

I'm very tempted to buy the ESB print but don't have an extra $3000 laying around. [Frown]

For the prices being asked, I wouldn't have expected to see this in the Star Wars listing "PICTURES ARE NOT FROM THIS PRINT" [Confused]

I agree. For that kind of money I want to see a lot of screen shots!

[Mad]

Wayne is right.

At that price it's unforgiveable not to post screen-shots.

Later:

Ooops, I just realised this has already been sold.

IMO, way too much for a fading print.

Those prices are nuts:

Star Wars is Faded and Empire is guaranteed to be one of the reductions. There are no LPP Scope originals that I'm aware of. Empire is worth $1000-$1500, Star Wars faded, $500 maybe?

Great for the seller I guess...

I have always wanted to get STARWARS on 16mm faded or not but those prices were to steep for me!

Cool. Thanks Jean-Marc! I'll keep my fingers crossed. EMPIRE is on top of my want list and this auction was the first time I've ever seen it offered. I never could find a print of that super-8 German version.. Guess I should've checked this forum more often! I would've jumped on your print if I'd seen it there earlier! ..can't believe it sat here available for months [Frown]

Jean-Marc,

I'd like to point out that it is not the Forum that's blocking access. Ronnie (along with many other members) has chosen the No, hide my address and do not allow members to mail me option.

Ronnie,

Best of luck with Empire!

Doug

And for ebay Steve, he listed them a week early so he has to pay the listing fees along with the selling fees, and paypal fees.

Just think it wasn't too long ago the entire trilogy was offered up for one I.B. print of Robinson Crusoe On Mars.

The big question is, do you cuss at the seller for the listing, the buyer(s)who bought the films, or yourself for not taking advantage of the crazy buyer's impulse buying of such a RARE film so I'll stupid price while only seeing stock internet photos to get it? [Razz]

Just want to brag about receiving and screening Jean-Marc's (now mine!) print of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK today. Wow! What a thing of beauty! And to think that I was tempted by that much-more-expensive print on eBay! Kudos to Jean-Marc!

Thank you for your kind words, Ronnie. Take good care of the film, I know you will. It's really one of those prints that's up there, a "near 35mm" experience.

May be true but Star Wars was on of the last releases in 35 IB here in England and the 16mm (CRI Tech) prints were on Agfa low fade stock. Saw a print projected and the quality was great. Not seen one for sale to collectors though.

G'day All, I have an LPP print of Star Wars Ep IV on 16mm here, I may have to sell it due to some unforseen hardships. I'm open to offers as I have no idea of its worth. I paid way way too much for it (about AUD$3000) a few years ago.
If anyone is interested in making me an offer, I'd like to see it go to a good home, and not to someone who will just turn it around or not look after it.

My projector is currently broken, but I'll have it fixed in a few weeks (waiting for a belt to arrive) and then can take some photos.

Cheers

-Pete

Is it scope Pete? Is it a 1977 version or later (with cleaned up effects etc)?

Yes, it is scope, and it is the original version.
I'll have to wait for my projector parts later this week to see if it has the original 1977 crawl, or the Episode IV crawl at the start. It most definitely in not the Special Editions from the 90s.
