I had heard of 16MM prints on TV shows that were originally video, but most of those I saw were black and white print, "Monty Python", for instance.

The general opinion was that these were from the time that airlines used 16mm for in-flight entertainment. I believe Technicolor UK was set up to do colour VT to colour neg transfers.
