Hey there, Jim - The latest Blackhawk Supplement I have is 1979, and WHACKY WEST isn't listed there or in my earlier bulletins. Must be released late in '79 and early '80 - Anyone have more information? - Shorty

Jim,

I'll check -- I know I have the bulletin where this was first released.

Don't expect to get much for it -- full-length prints of WOW are lucky to get $30 - $40 lately.

I have a June 1979 Blackhawk Bulletin that shows it for sale. Don't know the month when first released, though.

When Lee Enterprises took the reins in 1975, so did the changeover include new negs and new boxes, later the silver editions were (are) choice prints as well - Shorty

When Lee took over (1975), the L&H boxes remained pink. A few years later, they went green (1977). But I got some pink boxes after I got the green ones back in the day. The silver boxes came later, around '79 early '80s.

Someone is selling Our Gang and Charley Chase films in green L&H boxes right now on eBay -- Blackhawk must have messed up. The seller is selling them as L&H films since he doesn't know any better. Don't you love mistakes that are still causing issues 30 years later?
