Does anyone know where this film can be obtained, either on Super 8 or DVD? It is showcased on the super 8 2 reeler, 'Slapstick', and I would like to find the full movie as I have never seen the full movie and it looks great. Thanx, Matt

Only just spotted this Matt, 'Play Safe' went for 12.99 on EBay the other week it was from the Youngson 'Days of Thrills and Laughter', and was that complete 'extract' with soundtrack, I think it was DCR or Powell who released it. I was tempted but as I have the DVD I gave it a miss. I picked up 'Captain Kidds Kids' the other day, those female pirates, I just love those women from the silent era...

CHASING CHOO CHOOS is a 200 ft reel. I don't believe the complete feature (PLAY SAFE) has been released in 8 mm. Byt then, who knows? I have another Banks feature,( Volaire Malgre Lui, a.k.a A PERFECT GENTLEMAN)in 5 reels, std 8, from Film Office.

I won on e-bay a Standard 8mm sound film Play Safe monty Banks Days of Thrills and Laughter 200ft for 3 british pounds plus P&P at the end of July.
Here's the auction details "For sale here is a Standard 8mm Sound film the box has Days of Thrills and Laughter, but a label on the side is 'Play Safe'. The only B&W film I can find reference of with that title is the rare film with Monty Banks, which would fit"
UPDATE - I dug it out and watched it again,it is on Suoer8 with added narration and sound effects. It is on the Days Of Thrills And Laughter,200ft reel.
