But I do believe I would be coming much further than you and having just returned from Blackpool - i'm afraid I can't make the journey again this year. But I'm sure everyone who attends will support David and his family.

The proposed date of 9th December is not far from the shortest day which means days of limited daylight. This could affect long distance car drivers who dislike driving in such conditions. I suggest that the date be changed to some time in the spring, or failing that, give members a chance to buy by mail by advertising some of the films for sale on this Forum as David has done in previous years.

Maurice, I'm sorry to point this out but sadly David has serious health issues, another date might not be possible and those wanting to attend won't be put off by the shortest day,Mark.

Looking forward to this, I hope David doesn’t mind, I told the students who made the Blackpool DVD and the documentary David has been involved in, they would like to come along to say hello.

I've been researching any possible way of travelling from London (without vast expenditure) but I'm seriously out of luck, partly due to certain local bus and train services that don't operate on Sundays.
However, I've found an overnight coach service that would get me to Preston early on Sunday morning, so if a kind person travelling from/though Preston could help me out with a lift, just on the way, please let me know!

Thanks Paul, it was a great day, just got back. I absolutely adored the Worlitzer, what a fantastic piece of equipment. Got some nice bargains plus a great AAA title from David himself :-).

It was a nice to see so many supporting David and the family although sad as well to see a film friend poorly. If you do please put David, Elaine and the family in your prayers as I'm sure they will be having a tough time now.
Thank you Paul for being such a support yesterday and I think most of us will be very happy to have purchased something from David's collection to treasure.
