I know this part of the forum is dedicated to completely non film related topics, so I thought I would post this one here...…
Does anybody know anything about whisky, please?
I have been handed through the family a bottle of Haig Gold Label Liqueur Scotch Whisky which my long departed uncle had signed on the top of the label with a date of 25th July, 1946. Assuming this is a '46 and not even earlier, would it carry any value? Was it a vintage year? Also. What are the best conditions to store it in re temperature and is it better stored in the dark?
Nice little non-film topic! I look forward to your advice.

Worth some money, no doubt and us yanks spell is "whiskey" (well, at least I've always spelled it that way ... I wonder if it is "whisky"?)

Osi - I always thought the spelling was "whisky" except for the brand which is "Tennessee Whiskey." I may be wrong. I must admit, though, the extra E makes the word look better in my opinion.
