Would it not be possible to use 16mm rewinds and maybe get the spindles machined down?

Hello Craig. I did sell a very nice set of 9.5 rewinders at farnworth. Dont help now I know, but I will keep an eye open for you. The ones I had were tri gauge 9.5, 16 & 8. £25.00.
You should not have to pay more than £20 ish.
Kindest regards

Kev, you can machine down 16mm spindles, but you will also have to fabricate a backing plate with a locating nipple to engage reel drive. If all else fails then this is an option.

Lee, thanks for the info.

Just wondered. I have not studied 9.5mm reels too closely to know what the differences are.

Kev

Look at this ebay listing, it has some nice clear shots of a 9.5 reel.
