Hello Chaps

As I am nearing the end of my mission to collect all the MGM digests [about three to go], I have embarked on a new challenge that was inspired by a rummage in Uncle Ians shed.

I have now started collecting the Tom and Jerry releases by Walton Films and am hoping that you chaps will be able to advise me what the complete list of titles is.

This is the list I have so far;

TJ1 Posse Cat
TJ2 His Mouse Friday
TJ3 Tennis Chumps
TJ4 Cruise Cat
TJ5 The Truce Hurts
TJ6 Cat Fishin'
TJ7 The Mouse Comes to Dinner
TJ8 The Milky Waif
TJ9 Jerry and the Goldfish
TJ10 Dr Jekyl and Mr Mouse
TJ11 Two Mousketeers
TJ12 Triplet Trouble
TJ13 Saturday Evening Puss
TJ14 Proffessor Tom
TJ15 Cue Ball Cat
TJ16 Jerry and Jumbo
TJ17 Tee for Two
TJ18 Casanova Cat
TJ19 Cat Napping
TJ20 Solid Serenade
TJ21 The Cat Concerto
TJ22
TJ23
TJ24 Baby Butch
TJ25 The Yankee Doodle Mouse
TJ26 The Night Before Christmas
TJ27 Puttin' on the Dog
TJ28 Love That Pup
TJ29 Flying Cat
TJ30 Hollywood Bowl

Designs on Jerry
Framed Cat, The
Johann Mouse
Mice Follies
Million Dollar Cat

If you can help me fill the gaps so that I know what I should be looking for that would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Chaps, that's great! [Smile] I've added all the ones you've told me about, I guess that could be the complete list? I'll keep updating it as I get the numbers and titles matched up and if there are any others that I've not yet listed I'd be pleased to hear from you!

Thanks for the link, that's great. It's amazing what's out there on the net, it's just a case of knowing where to look or where to ask [Wink] . I'm still hoping to fit the last few titles up against the Walton TJ code numbers but that will come as I start to increase my collection [Smile] .

Tony
I hold you wholy responsible, if I hadn't been let loose in Uncle Ians shed with you and Doug I might still be a sane man, as it is I'm Frantic for new T&J titles and I have the projector set up in the spare room so that I can secretly sneek off and watch them [Roll Eyes] .

Speaking of which.......

Mike,

If only I hadn't shown such self control in Ian's shed and taken a box full of the precious celluloid.

M-102 Two Mousketeers
M-103 Casanova Cat
M-104 Cat Napping
M-105 Saturday Evening Puss
M-106 Tee for Two
M-107 Million Dollar Cat
M-108 Jerry & Jumbo
M-109 Little Orphan*
M-110 Quiet Please*
M-111 Cat Concerto*
M-112 Johann Mouse*
M-113 Mouse Trouble*

*Academy Award winner

Remember, I've got all those T&J boxes!

Oh Doug, what have you done? Now you've given me a whole other series to start collecting [Frown] ! And they've got noce boxes too!! Can't wait for the next BFCC [Wink] .

By the way, when I said 'shed' I was of course referring to Uncle Ians large, Climate Controlled and meticulously catalogued storage facility in West London. [Roll Eyes]

Hello

I've just brought this back up to the front again as I've been able to update the list quite a bit [see edited post above [Wink] ].

There are now only three numbers with unidentified T & J titles to fill [ although strangely I have five titles to fit in [Confused] ], so if anyone knows what they are I'd be pleased to hear [Smile] .

Note for Tim: Tim, I found your T & J list on your Walton website really useful in getting my list together, I think I now have one or two extras that you might want to add to yours [Wink] .

Hello Steven

Thanks for the offer, at the moment I'm only really looking for the Walton and MGM releases. Have only got a few more to go and I shall have the complete set of Waltons, have now started on the MGM releases [thanks to Doug [Roll Eyes] ] but luckily there aren't so many of them...

Thanks, Mike. I should be able to complete the Walton T&J list now.

I'm still short of details of Walton releases for 1980 to 1982, if anyone has catalogues for those years.

BTW, how many 'scope T&Js were there? I've got 'Pat Peeves' (MGM, Cineavision).

Mike, I have a copy of "Puttin' on the Dog" which I don't see on your list and which I bought new from Derann in the late '80's but I'm sure it came in a box with a copied label bearing the Walton logo; as though it was a Walton re-print.

Of course it was full-length unlike the Walton versions which were usually trimmed but I think it had a Walton code on it.

I'll check it but its in my other cinema 140 miles away!!! Just showing off!!! Bear with me...

EDIT: Yep, had the box checked and the code is TJ27, one of the titles missing off your list.

Unfortunately, can't be 100% sure this was Walton's original title for TJ27 but looks likely!

Mike, I would be interested to know if you are lucky enough to find an original Walton print whether Walton trimmed it by a couple of minutes as usual or if it is complete and what the print is like as this is one of my favourites and the re-print is a bit soft [Smile]

Many thanks for the extra title, nearly there now! Haven't seen this print for sale on any of the lists so far but if I do manage to snap one up I shall report back!

Only TJ1 to TJ20 were listed in Walton Catalogue No. 29 (1979), so the rest (TJ21 to TJ30?)were added in the last couple of years of Walton's life - a period for which my information is not complete.

Have at last managed to find a copy of 'Puttin on the Dog' in its original Walton box, pictured below;

 -

It's actually a very good print, although curiously on the dealers list it was described as faded and was priced accordingly. There is perhaps not as much contrast as some of the better Walton T&Js but it is quite acceptable and very pleasing to watch.

Not sure if it has been shortened, the original MGM release [from 28/10/44] lasted for 7.02 minutes, it doesn't look as though anything is missing but next time I play it I shall get my stop watch out [Big Grin] .

Mike [Cool]

ps. I love the part where Butch screams when he sees what he thinks is a headless dog walking off after his 'head on legs'. [Smile]

Jim,

I've got a copy of "Southbound Duckling" in Scope and OB on my lists, it's in nice condition, only £15 plus post to the States. If you want to have a look for yourself then go to BFCC Site (this is the BFCC site) and follow the link to the INDEPENDENT 8 pages.
